Friends,
A good friend of mine passed on this resume to me with his high regards. I thought I’d recirculate it just in case Carlos’s skills might have a home in your organization. Carlos seems to have strong undergraduate experience in embedded systems design/development and is apparently an extremely good tennis player to boot.
If you would, recirculate to those that might have an opening for him.
Thanks in advance…Greg

PROJECT EXPERIENCE
- Senior Design Project – EcoCAR Challenge: Database team, SQA Manager and Software Development Assistant.
Created EcoCAR Intelligent Driving Efficiency Assistant (IDEA), a learning vehicle controls system. Based on retrieved data, the system analyzes current conditions and predicts future conditions in order to maximize efficiency of a hybrid engine vehicle.
- Real-Time Systems Project – Automatic Production Environment System: Team Leader.
Developed a program in VxWorks real-time operating system that automates the production of a Fischertechnik electromechanically driven conveyor belt system. The program was developed in C and uses important real-time concepts, such as critical sections of code, semaphores, and tasks, to synchronize the behavior of all sensors and motors in the system.
- Motorola 68HCS12 Microcontroller Project – Tennis Game: Individual project.
Built and developed a tennis simulation game in assembly language. The game demonstrates synchronization of four integrated buttons in the board, multiple LEDs, and the seven-segment digits display.
- Advanced Software Construction Project – ZipSubmit: Individual project.
Developed in Java a standalone application and an Eclipse plug-in that allow the user to create a compressed file in standard .zip format containing files selected by the user from an Eclipse project.
- Computer Architecture Project – Memory Decoder: Individual project.
Created a two-stage instruction decoder for SRC machines. Developed in C, the memory decoder reads, interprets and executes all the instructions encoded within the contents of a 64Kb memory.
- Operating Systems Project – Disk Scheduling Simulator: Individual project.
Implemented a disk scheduler simulation program that reads a file of disk configuration data, a file of access requests, and then uses different scheduling algorithms to fulfill these requests. This simulator considers seek times, rotational latency, and transfer times.
- Software Analysis and Design Project – EagleAdvise: Individual project.
Created a detailed analysis and design report for the EagleAdvise software system, an accurate and complete course planning tool to help students with planning their academic schedule based on their previous work and the academic program requirement described in the university catalog.
